Description
How to Use Voltarol Osteoarthritis Joint Pain Relief 1.16% Gel:
- Adults and children over 14 years: Apply to the affected area 3 to 4 times a day.
- Use an amount the size of a 1p to 2p coin, depending on the area.
- Gently rub into the skin until fully absorbed.
- Do not use more than 4 times in 24 hours.
- Do not use for more than 14 days unless advised by a healthcare professional.
- Wash hands after use (unless treating hands).
- Allow the gel to dry before bathing or showering.
Ingredients:
Active Ingredient: Diclofenac diethylammonium 11.6mg/g.
Other Ingredients: Diethylamine, carbomers, cocoyl caprylocaprate, isopropyl alcohol, liquid paraffin, macrogol cetostearyl ether, perfume (contains benzyl benzoate), propylene glycol, purified water.
Warnings and Precautions:
- Not suitable for use in children under 14 years.
- Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, broken or irritated skin.
- Do not use if you are allergic to diclofenac, aspirin, NSAIDs, or any of the ingredients.
- Discontinue use if skin rash, irritation or any unusual symptoms occur.
- Speak to your doctor if symptoms worsen or persist beyond 7 days.
- Do not use on large areas or under occlusive dressings.
- Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight or tanning beds on treated areas.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding:
- Not recommended during pregnancy unless specifically directed by a doctor.
- If breastfeeding, only use under medical supervision. Avoid applying to breast area.
Possible Side Effects:
- Local skin reactions (rash, itching, redness, or burning)
- Rarely, allergic reactions including wheezing or swelling
- If you notice any unusual symptoms, stop using and seek medical advice promptly.
Drug Interactions:
- Consult a pharmacist or GP before using with other topical or oral NSAIDs, aspirin, or if youβre taking blood thinners or have pre-existing health conditions.
